Heavenly entities to behold to
Yet earthlings habitually dissatisfied
Getting imperceptive seeking the new
Lacking to cherish the divine

Ego and greed clashing with our inner being
Enfeebling us to our knees
When our only cause is to uplift our head and spirit
To sustain our body

Afraid we wouldn't be of the demise of our corse
If we'd recognize the power of purity and simplicity
Flowers can be plucked away
But, roots remain deep-seated, regardless.
